Nordic Sea Safe has added the Asbestos Safety Kit, IMPA No. 33.0967, to its product range. Vessel crews use this product to remove any harmful asbestos materials in a safe way. They do so while the ship operates at sea. The kit is not meant to be used for large scale asbestos removal. It can be used, for example, during the docking of the vessel.
Asbestos Management Plan
Most of the times, the Asbestos Removal Kit is part of the Asbestos Management Plan. This plan indicated the locations of asbestos. Also, in the plan we cover the preventive measures that you need to take in order to avoid exposure to the dangerous and harmful asbestos fibers.
The items in the kit are produced according to the EU quality standards for asbestos removal. All parts are approved by certified companies, such as KIWA Oesterbaai. The same goes for the Inventory of Hazardous Materials, such as DNV GL, Rina, Bureau Veritas and Lloyd’s Register. The Asbestos Safety kit comes with a clear instruction manual that shows how to use it in a safe and adequate way.
